The Ōei Rebellion Ōei no ran 応永の乱 occurred in 1399 (Ōei year 6). It was a revolt against the Muromachi bakufu led by the feudal lord Ōuchi Yoshihiro, whose forces occupied the city of Sakai, which was eventually brought to ruin.
