German 15cm Feldkanone i.R. was a German heavy gun of World War I, made by putting a naval gun on a rather primitive mounting to quickly obtain more heavy long range guns desperately needed in trench warfare. Acronym i.R. stands for "in Räderlafette", i.e. "on wheeled carriage". The gun came in two models: L40 and L45.
