English: This house is an outstanding example of Federal Period architecture, especially noteworthy for the perfection of elements such as the half-round window above the front door. As the temporary residence of Jackie Kennedy and her two children after they left the White House following the president's assassination, and as the home of the internationally prominent Averell Harrimans and other politically prominent people the house has importance or at least great notoriety in late twentieth century American history.
