  • On a rectangle rounded on each corner divided per bend sinister maroon and white with a ⅛ inch (.32cm) yellow border, 2 inches (5.08cm) in width and 3 inches (7.62cm) in height overall, a red cross edged white bearing a white stylized fleur-de-lis.
  • Combat Service Identification Badge: None Authorized.

Symbolism

  1. Maroon and white are the colors of the Army Medical Department, split diagonally in reference to the unit’s transition from a Medical Group to a Medical Brigade.
  2. A gold border is emblematic of excellence and valor.
  3. The red cross is a symbol of aid and comfort
  4. The fleur-de-lis further alludes to the unit’s heritage of descent from a collecting company and service during World War II.

  • A silver color metal and enamel insignia 1⅛ inches (2.86cm) in height overall consisting of a red cross bearing a silver fleur-de-lis issuing from the base of the stem four silver rays, all above a maroon scroll arched from the lower point of the horizontal arms of the cross inscribed "PROUD AND STEADFAST" in silver letters.

  2. The red cross, symbol of aid and comfort, and used to mark Army ambulances, refers to the descent of the organization from a collecting company.
  3. The fleur-de-lis alludes to France and the area in Europe during World War II where the unit served, the four rays specifically referring to Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe campaigns.
