English: Aleksey Petrovich Yermolov (or Ermolov; (4 June [O.S. 24 May] 1772 - 23 April [O.S. 11 April] 1861), was a prominent Russian general of the 19th century. His charismatic leadership of imperial armies was romanticized in poems by Alexander Pushkin, Vasily Zhukovsky, and others.
