Built in 1892, this Shingle-style house at 127 Langdon Street in Madison, Wisconsin, was constructed for Alexander and Emma Main. The house is clad in wooden clapboard and shingles, with a gambrel and gabled roof, a two-story bay window on the front facade, one-over-one double-hung windows, an arched panel above the attic window on the front gable, a front porch with a low-pitch hipped roof, bracketed eaves, square columns, paneled railing, and open stone pier foundation, and a rusticated stone base.
The house is a contributing structure in the Langdon Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
