Allocasuarina littoralis, the black she-oak, is a small tree in 7th Brigade Park. It is scattered through open forest remnants, with a handful planted as part of revegetation efforts. The trees are either male or female, with the male trees turning coppery-red when in flower. Leaves are minute, with the needle like foliage being modified branchlets known as cladodes.
