The Americus Cinema One was a small mini-theater that was opened by Al Moffa in the lower level of the Americus Hotel in Allentown. Entrance to the theater was though the North Sixth Street entrance to the hotel and tickets were purchased at a small box office outside of the theater. It had a concession stand and patrons also had access to a smorgasbord in the main dining room of the hotel. This made it Allentown's first "Dinner Cinema"

The cinema played first-run films, although not the Hollywood Blockbusters. It had a short life, operating from May until November 1975 when it was closed due to insufficient number of patrons. It later became the Spin Nightclub, which remained open until May 2002 when the hotel was ordered closed.
