The White-breasted woodswallow, (Artamus leucorynchus), is present seasonally in 7th Brigade Park, Chermside, usually nesting in November of each year. Its usual nest site is in the mounting of a street light on Murphy Rd. The continuous illumination, the traffic noise and vibration appear to be no disincentive in nest choice, as the insect resources of nearby Downfall Creek are ample compensation.
