Baidarka refers both to the type of kayak of Aleut design developed in the Aleutians during the period of Russian ownership, and to any multi-seat kayak of traditional design and construction. The Aleut designs commonly have double bows. Larger, open skin boats of Aleut/Russian construction, known as Bidars, Bidarra, or Baidaras are in Category:Bidars at this time.
