English: Balthasar de Beaujoyeulx (c. 1535 – c. 1587) was an Italian violinist whose Ballet Comique de la Reine, first performed on 15 October 1581 in the Great Hall of the Hôtel de Petit-Bourbon in Paris, is one of the earliest ballets de cour. He was a valet de chambre of both King and Queen, as the title page of his published account says. He seems to have often acted as producer of Catherine de' Medici's court festivals.
