English: The Baudin expedition of 1800 to 1804 was a French expedition to map the coast of Australia. Nicolas Baudin was selected as leader in October 1800. The expedition started with two ships, Géographe, captained by Baudin, and Naturaliste captained by Jacques Hamelin, and was accompanied by nine zoologists and botanists, including Jean Baptiste Leschenault de la Tour.
Français : L'expédition Baudin (1800-1804) est un voyage d'exploration scientifique français parti du Havre le 19 octobre 1800 et qui conduisit Nicolas Baudin et l'équipage du Géographe et du Naturaliste dans les mers du Sud au-delà du cap de Bonne-Espérance et jusque dans le Pacifique.
