The Beahuis & Bloemenhovekliniek is an abortion clinic located in Heemstede, North Holland, the Netherlands. It was founded in 1973, and specialises in terminating pregnancies up to 22 weeks. From 1974 to 1976, Minister of Justice Dries van Agt attempted to forcefully close the clinic, but it was occupied by hundreds of women who demanded the right to abortion, and the judge ruled in their favour. Abortion in the Netherlands was eventually legalised in 1984.
