English: Black silver tipped or shell coats, also called black silver chinchilla in Persians. Just the tip of each hair is heavily black pigmented (1/8 of the hair), while the unpigmented section of the hair is white. Black silver tipped cats are almost pure white cats with a sprinkling of black tipping/shell that gives them a sparkling silver appearance. They are significantly lighter in all over color than the silver shaded cats (see: Black silver shaded cats). The black silver tipped cats should have a tiny amount of black tipping on the face and legs. Sometimes the black/brown colouration changes into a cuprous colour with age.
