English: A blinde sail is a spritsail carried on the end of the bowsprit of some full-rigged ships up to the 18th century.
Not to be confused with the category: Spritsails — four-sided, fore-and-aft sails (spritsails) that are supported at their highest points by the mast and a diagonally running spar known as the sprit.
