The Boston Marine Hospital was the oldest hospital in the Marine Hospital system. It was first temporarily at Castle Island, then Charlestown, then Chelsea, and then in 1940 it moved to Brighton. After the PHS hospital system was dissolved in 1981, it became a campus of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. [1]
