English: Buckholt Wood lies at the top of the Cotswold scarp, next to the village of Cranham. It is a nature reserve and part of the Cotswold Commons and Beechwoods SSSI (reference Natural England web site). It is one of the largest and most important areas for wildlife in Gloucestershire. It is an example of ancient woods.
