"The plan is cross-shaped with four equal arms, while the interior of the East arm terminates in an apse The dome rests on four arches of the square base; The corners above are rounded off, while the drum is lined by semi-columns paired with blind windows. The hemispherical dome is decorated and there is a cicular opening at the summit in order to illuminate the interior. The walls are enhanced by noticeable three-dimensional motifs; doves, armed men. probably warriors. Khatchkar (crosses), floral motifs, ornamented by vine and geometrical motifs The inscription carved on the north wall of the church, shows the date of foundation In 1283, and the name of the donator, Prince Prosh".
