English: Charles Cabrier II (1719–1776), British watch and clock maker coming from the Gabriers clockmaking dynasty. He was the son of the watchmaker Charles Cabrier I, also known as Carolus Cabrier, a French Huguenot, who emigrated from Lyon to London circa 1685 and entered the Clockmakers’ Company in 1697. Went through apprenticeship under his father, became master in 1757 and established his shop on Broad Street in London. His son, Charles Cabrier III, also became a clockmaker.
