Council Island, Scottish Gaelic Eilean na Comhairle, is a dome-shaped island to the south of Eilean Mòr in Loch Finlaggan, site of a council hall where the Lords of the Isles met in privacy. In another theory, Finlaggan Castle was actually located there. It remains unexcavated.
