English: The Crabbet Arabian Stud was founded by Lady Anne Blunt and her husband Wilfrid Blunt in 1878 for the purpose of breeding Arabian horses. It passed to their daughter, Judith Blunt-Lytton, 16th Baroness Wentworth following the death of the Blunts, and she in turn bequeathed the Stud to her manager, Cecil Covey. Covey disbursed the stud in 1972, as the building of the M23 Highway split the land in two, making it economically unviable to continue as a horse-breeding operation.
