Crawford Bridge is a road bridge at the bend in the Rochor River, Singapore, over which Crawford Street runs. A bridge had existed at that location since the 1830s, and by the early 1900s it was a wooden structure supported by cast iron beams and was called Crawford Bridge to commemorate Dr. John Crawfurd, who served as the second Resident of Singapore from 1823 to 1826. The present reinforced concrete bridge with bow-string arches was constructed in the 1920s, with further works done between the late 1980s and early 1990s. The bridge was conferred conservation status by the Urban Redevelopment Authority on 3 December 2009.
