English: In 1902, celebrated Architects William Sterling Hebbard and Irving John Gill designed what would become known as Crown Manor, Coronado’s most palatial residence situated on the Islan'’s first-recorded and largest oceanfront lot, an idyllic 0.61 acre parcel zoned as "Agricultural Preserve". In 1979, the Coronado Historical Association dedicated the approximately 25,000 square foot gated estate, also known as the Richards-Dupee House, as a Coronado Historical Landmark. In 2001, the mansion became listed on Coronado’s Register of Designated Historic Resources (#HR4-01) and today continues to hold a City of Coronado Mills Act Contract granted on October 10, 2002.
