The Dhar Fort is also called Dhar Durg. It hosts the District Archaeological Museum, whose collection includes some important Buddhist, Hindu, Jain statues, inscriptions and other items found in Dhar district. The collection also preserves some Islamic inscriptions, Sultanate and Mughal era items.
