This photograph was taken during the Dinosaurs Alive exhibition that was organised by the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Govt. of India, held between June 15 and July 31, 1995. The exhibition drew more than 8 lakh visitors, from all walks of life. On display were 17 big and small dinosaurs of 14 verities arranged strategically and placed in their natural habitat and backdrops. The exhibits had complex movements of neck, jaws, eye-ball, tail, knees, and torso, all controlled by pneumatically with microprocessor based programme. The skins were made of special treated latex rubber to give as near natural look as possible. The size varied between 1 ft x 1 ft and 40 ft x 6 ft. All the models were developed and engineered by the NCSM for two years.
