Kuruyemişçi (Turkish) is a specialized shop in Turkey that dedicates itself to the preparation (daily fresh baking of pumpkin and sunflower seeds, for example) and sale of dried fruits. They may also sell some specialized spices (like cinnamon or vainilla sticks, not the powder) and lately several other items like chocolotes, Turkish delight etc, to maintain the competition with supermarkets and other generalized stores. Traditionally, shops that bake and sell Turkish coffee grains ("kurukahveci" in Turkish) have also lately begun to enter in the business of selling some dried nuts or fruits. Therefore most of them today may also be called kuruyemişçi (dried fruit shop).
