English: Edinburgh Shuttle was an airport bus service operated by Lothian Buses of Edinburgh. A cross between a taxi and a bus, the service picked up and dropped off anywhere in a defined city centre area, and for a flat fare, operated as a registered bus service, operating a shuttle to Edinburgh Airport. Using several Ford Transit minibuses, the operation was short lived and stongly opposed by the city's taxi-drivers as a form of publicly funded competition, and eventually put up for sale, and without a buyer, wound up.
