Eightythree & Eightyone Mile Canyons-(west & east)
Eightythree Mile Canyon —— At Cape Royal (North Rim), Wotans Throne & Angels Gate, start the beginning of a 3-prominence series, to Granite Gorge.
At the southwest of Wotans Throne, the three prominences in descending height, southward, are Angels Gate, Dunn Butte, and adjacent Granite Gorge, Hawkins Butte.
Two canyons border the 3-prominence series. West, is a very short Eightythree Mile Canyon-(dry creek), and east, slightly longer Eightyone Mile Canyon-(dry creek).
On the Colorado River in Granite Gorge, at mile 83, Eightythree Mile Rapid is located.
