English: Eithne (fair-haired) and Feidhealm Ruadh (red-haired) were daughters of Laoghair, king of Tara. According to Tíreachán, both met St. Patrick who baptized them. They died shortly afterwards as they both desired to see the face of Christ. They are not mentioned in the martyrological records but John Colgan chose 11 January for Feidhealm and 26 February for Eithne as these are the feast days of otherwise unrelated namesakes. (See Pádraig Ó Riain, A Dictionary of Irish Saints, entry “Feidhealm Ruadh”, p. 311–312; Liam de Paor, Saint Patrick's World, p. 163–165.)
