English: Market Street Park is a public park located in the Charlottesville and Albemarle County Courthouse Historic District of Charlottesville, Virginia. The land was purchased in 1917 to be the setting for Robert Edward Lee statue (commissioned 1917, cast and placed 1924). Park and statue were donated to the city by noted philanthropist Paul Goodloe McIntire. It was known as Lee Park until 2017, and Emancipation Park from June 2017 – July 2018.
