English: Servant of God Emil Joseph Kapaun (April 20, 1916 – May 23, 1951) was a Roman Catholic priest and United States Army chaplain who died in the Korean War. The Roman Catholic Church has declared him a Servant of God and he is a candidate for sainthood. He was posthumously awarded the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions in the Korean War, His feast day is celebrated every year on 23 May.
