Fighting the Flames, series no. 9306. This set of paintings was created by British artist Hilda Annetta Walker (1877-1960). "Walker studied at Leeds College of Art under Gilbert Foster(founder of the Staithes Group) and went on to exhibit at Royal Academy, Walker Gallery and the Society of Women Artists." (Information source: Arcadja.com (cached) Some of the pictures are after black and white drawings by G. Amato, W.H. Overend or T.W. Lascelles. Six of these paintings were also published in the US between 1908-1909, besides being published in the UK before 1914. The other six Fighting the Flames oilette paintings are on English Wikipedia.
