This category is for the 1908-1912 Ford Model T's runabout/roadster models, all of which have a single main row of seats, an open body, and a foldable top. Ford repeatedly changed the form and terminology for these models before finally settling on a single model named "Runabout" for 1913 and later.

The first model, introduced in 1908 and named the "Roadster" in Ford catalogs, had a third seat in the rear and lacked doors. In this model's final year of 1912, Ford renamed it to the "Commercial Roadster".

For 1911 only, Ford produced two other models which it named the "Open Runabout" and the "Torpedo Runabout" (the latter named for the "torpedo" car style). Both these models had lower seating than the Roadster and other Model T versions; they also had no rear seat, instead having the fuel tank on the rear deck. The Torpedo Runabout had doors, while the Open Runabout lacked them.

For 1912, the same year that the former Roadster model was renamed to Commercial Roadster, a new Torpedo Runabout model was introduced. Instead of the low-seated body of 1911, this was based on the original Roadster/Commercial Roadster, but with doors added, and the rear seat replaced by a fuel tank and storage box on the rear deck.
