Built in 1914, this Arts and Crafts-style American Foursquare house at 416 North Carroll Street in Madison, Wisconsin, was built for Frank M. Wootton and has since been converted into apartments. The house features a stucco-clad exterior with a red brick base, hipped roof, hipped dormers, brick columns on the porches, including the enclosed front porch, one-over-one double-hung windows, a metal fire escape from the front dormer, a one-story semi-circular side bay window below a second-story oriel window on the side facade, unadorned wide overhanging eaves, and brick chimneys.
The house is a contributing structure in the Mansion Hill Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
