Frederick C. Olney (July 15, 1862 – May 24, 1918) was an American lawyer and entrepreneur. An African-American resident of Wakefield, Rhode Island, with Native American ancestry, he was one of the first African-American lawyers admitted to the bar in the state, and one of the founders of the Gladstone Springs Water Company. Note: Wikipedia refers to him as "Frederick Clayton Olney" and Findagrave refers to him as "Frederick Cross Olney", but every primary document refers to him as only "Frederick C.
