English: Bourgeois Guards (Gardes bourgeoises) were various local civic militias formed in August and September 1830 during the Belgian Revolution. Some were referred to as Urban Guards (Gardes urbaines). They were officially absorbed into the newly formed Civic Guard (Garde civique) in October 1830.
