The Ghana Wildlife Society is after own statement ...a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit making environmental organization which seeks to conserve wildlife in all its forms to ensure a better environment and improved quality of life for all people. The society was founded in the early 1970s, but was dormant already after short time. In 1991, the society was renewed and first activities launched by participation in a seashore bird protection project (1991-1994).
