English: Ginkaku-ji, officially named Jishō-ji, is a Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. It named after the Silver Pavilion (Ginkaku) built for Shōgun Ashikaga Yoshimasa in 1482. After the death of the Shōgun, the villa and gardens became a temple named after the pavilion.
日本語: 銀閣寺（ぎんかくじ）こと慈照寺（じしょうじ）は、京都市にある寺。1482年に室町幕府将軍の足利義政によって別荘として建てられ、死後に寺院になった。
