Gino's Pizza opened in September 1958 at 1207-1209 Chew Street (NW corner of 12th and Chew), at a former Cities Service Gasoline station. The restaurant was owned and operated by Louis K. (Gino) and Susan Belletieri. In May 1969, Gino's opened a second location at 1500 Union Boulevard in Eastern Allentown known as Mama Gino's Spaghetti Kitchen. A third location at 1082 MacArthur Road opened in September 1969, although that moved to 1176 MacArthur Road in December 1970.

In June 1971, Gino's closed it's MacArthur Road restraint, Then in October 1971, its 12th & Chew location along with the Union Boulevard restraunt when the Belletieris retired. However, they retained ownership of the property at 12th and Chew. It became several restaurants over the next few years, leased by various owners.

Gino's reopened in March 1977 when their son and daughter in-law Louis Jr. and Angie Belletieri reopened the restaurant at the same location as "Louie's". although Belletieri had owned and operated other restaurants in the area over the years. In November 2007 the restaurant at 12th and Chew street closed and moved to the south side of Allentown, 2031 SW 31st Street, being renamed Louie's Italian Restaurant and Catering.

The bushiness lastly closed at the end of 2019 with Louis Belletieri, Jr. retiring. The origional owners, Loouis Belletieri, Sr. passed in August 1995. His wife Susan in December 2015, shortly after her 100th birthday.
