English: Gleeson Truck Parts was founded by Terry Gleeson in the early 1950s in Kogarah as T. Gleeson & Manton Pty. Ltd. He later moved to Sutherland due to pressure from the local council as they were taking apart a used EQ series truck for spare parts in his parents driveway. The 1960s saw expansion into Nambucca Heads on the NSW north coast and specialised in wrecking Mack trucks for spare parts to cater for the logging industry in the area. The firm then built a warehouse in Chipping Norton, New South Wales. In 2001 the company was purchased by the SMP group based in Shepparton, Victoria.
