Gloria María Milagrosa Fajardo García (born 1 September 1957 in Havana, Cuba), known with her stage name as Gloria Estefan, is a Cuban-born singer from the United States, who sings mainly in Spanish language. She has been living in the United States since 1959 when his fater, armed guard of the dictator Fulgencio Batista's wife, escaped from Cuba after the arise of Fidel Castro. She sold more than 100 milion records, one-third of which on the U.S. market, making her one amongst the overall best-selling singer ever. She also won, to date, seven Latin Grammy Awards and is considered la Madre del Pop Latino (Spanish for : "the Mother of Latin Pop Music")
