Govindas Sambasivan was the assistant director of malaria institute of India appointed consultant in malaria control to the government of Burma (1954) in Rangoon. Also senior WHO officer in charge of malaria control project in the Phillipines and Thailand. Dr. Sambasivan is from Travancore-Cochin, and received his MBBS degree from Madras University in 1933. He studied at the School of Tropical Medicine, Calcutta. Served in the Indian Medical Service. Biographical info here and here in his obituary (written by L.J. Bruce-Chwatt).
