[edit]English: The Grand Parterre can be found under various names: Parterre, Large Garden, Jardin of the King, French Garden ... is the garden created by François Ier, enlarged by Henri IV on the occasion of the digging of the Grand Canal. Le Nôtre turn it into a “formal french garden”, but the scrollworks of cut boxes have disappeared, leaving place at simple stretches of lawn richly lined with flowers in fine weather.
Español: El Gran Parterre se encuentra bajo varios apellidos: Parterre, Gran jardín, Jardín del Rey, Jardín Francés... es el jardín creado por Francisco I er , ampliado por Enrique IV llegando el caso de la excavación del Canal grande. Le Nôtre lo hizo en „Jardín a la francesa“, pero los follajes de boj tallado desaparecieron, dejando espacio para las áreas de césped ricamente bordeado de flores en verano.
Français : Le Grand Parterre se retrouve sous diverses appellations: Parterre, Grand jardin, Jardin du roi, Jardin français ... est le Jardin crée par François Ier, agrandi par Henri IV à l'occasion du creusement du grand canal. Le Nôtre en fit un jardin à la française, mais les rinceaux de buis taillé ont disparu, laissant place à de simples étendues de gazon richement bordées de fleurs à la belle saison.
