Deutsch: Hans Lachmann war im Zweiten Weltkrieg Bildberichter der PK 693 (Propagandakompanie) und ab 1950 für die Evangelische Kirche tätig. Ein Teil seines Nachlasses befindeted sich im Deutschen Bundesarchiv im Bestand Bild 194 Sammlung Hans Lachmann und in den Beständen der Propagandakompanie (Bild 101I) und der Presseagenturen (Bild 183). Mit ca. 500.000 Fotos verwahrt das Archiv der Evangelischen Kirche im Rheinland in Düsseldorf den Großteil seiner Werke.
