English: The counts of Stolberg are a German noble family, whose roots are from the present-day town of Stolberg in the Harz mountains. Representatives of the Gedern line were elevated in 1742 to imperial princes by Emperor Charles VII; the lines of Stolberg-Wernigerode, Stolberg-Stolberg and Stolberg-Roßla followed in 1890 and 1892 respectively.
