Ignaz Leopold Kober (1825-1866) was a Czech-born Austrian book dealer and publisher.

In his early years he translated a number of works by Czech authors (Rubeš, Sabina, Tyl) into German, which were published in „Wiener Zeitschrift“ (1842–1845).

In 1846 he started his own publishing home in Tabor and started collecting novels for his Album : Bibliothek deutscher Original-Romane, in which he published 24 volumes (including new novels extending over several volumes) per year between 1848 and 1871. His Album was well-received and appraised by the German press for collecting the novels of better quality to make them accessible to a greater public.
