English: The monastery at Inishmacsaint was founded by Saint Ninnidh Láimhdhearg, one of the twelve apostles of Ireland and pupil of Saint Finnian of Clonard, in the 6th century. The surviving church of internal dimensions 8.6 × 5.51 m has elements from multiple periods.
