English: The Irish ambassadorial residence is located at 2244 S Street NW in Washington, D.C. The building was constructed in 1924 for Frederic Adrian Delano and designed by Waddy Butler Wood. The Irish government purchased the house in 1965. The building is a contributing property to the Sheridan-Kalorama Historic District. In addition to Delano, previous occupants include Ambassador R. S. Reynolds Hitt.
