Italy national association football team represent Italy at international level. The team are operated by Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio, the football association of Italy. Their men's senior team won four FIFA World Cup (1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006), one European Championship (1968) and one Olympic gold medal in 1936. Apart from these wins the team was runner-up at the World Cups 1970 and 1994 (both lost against Brazil) and at the European Championships 2000 (beaten by France) and 2012 (beaten by Spain); they won also a bronze medal at 2004 Olympics.
