The Ivy Leaf Hotel at Ridge Avenue and Gordon Streets (346 Ridge Avenue) was one of what was dozens of corner bars that were found in Allentown. The hotel opened in 1895 when it was founded by Neuweiler's Brewery and operated by Frank Judt. It served bar food but did not take any guests. Judt and his family lived upstairs.

For decades it served the people of the neighborhood, serving food and beverages, it's likely that many people saw television for the first time at the Ivy Leaf. They watched sports events there; the patrons talked about the current events of the day with their neighbors, and maybe it was where they met someone special.

The Ivy Leaf closed about 1977. Today it is a latin grocery store. The apartment is still upstairs on the second floor.
